The 18th Annual Oakville Awards for Business Excellence Gala Dinner took place on March 27, 2013. Congratulations to all the nominees! This award recognizes a prominent Oakville business which is highly regarded in the business community.
The Oakville Awards for Business Excellence (OABE) are dedicated to recognizing exemplary models of excellence and community service by Oakville’s businesses. The Oakville Chamber of Commerce in partnership with The Rotary Club of Oakville West organizes the OABE now in its 18th year. The OABE culminates in a prestigious Gala Dinner and Award ceremony. The proceeds from the Gala Awards Dinner, including the considerable support from our many Partners, provide funds for the Rotary Club’s numerous youth and academic programs such as the Oakville Awards for Academic Excellence, the Oakville Youth Development Centre, and Camp Enterprise.
Who is eligible to win an OABE?
This competition is open to Oakville businesses that have not won in any category in the last five years. The business must be physically located in the Town of Oakville. The Judges are looking for excellence in business, not the size of the business. Nominees will be generally assessed on:
- Business growth
- Profile/Reputation
- Customer attraction
- Innovation
- Investment in the business
- Business practices
Who is not eligible to win an OABE?
These are business awards. Therefore the competition is not open to governments, associations, centres or organizations which operate on a not-for-profit basis. The competition is also not open to the Judges or their employers, to members of the OABE Organizing Committee or their employers, or to or to the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Oakville West or Board of Directors of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce or their employees.

The award recipients of the 17th Annual Oakville Awards for Business Excellence (OABE) held March 7th at the Oakville Conference Centre were announced and recognized for their exemplary models of business excellence and community service at this prestigious event last evening.
